Nichols Hills is known for distinctive winding streets, quality homes, beautiful parks and is home to Oklahoma City Golf and Country Club.  There is a rich history about this city and its founder, Dr. G.A. Nichols.  Dr. Nichols saw the need for an exclusive residential area that protected homeowners from encroaching oil and gas and commercial activity.  Nichols Hills was founded as a municipality in 1929 and grew when Dr. Nichols dedicated additional property to the city, with upscale retail shopping on the perimeter.
