Maple & Ash: Chicago

"It's a whole lot local, great for people watching, has a very eclectic vibe and the food is delicious!"

It's not your typical steakhouse...it's far more superior than that! It's like an adult inspired Alice in Wonderland with vivid jewel tones and plush velvet upholstered furnishings, The windows are tall and the ceilings soar to the sky. Texture is big here, from the warm oak floors to the brick walls and dramatic draperies. Small carefully selected wooden plates are served in between tall silver candelabras and dripping wax candles. There is no shortage of fun, as evidenced by the perfectly prepared and cleverly named dry-aged steaks with pairings like blue cheese fondue. There is even a seafood tower called, 'The Baller'. And not to forget, their complimentary signature cocktail for starters.

The wedge salad was by far the best ever. Hands down. Bar none. With a smoky flavor and slight crunch, it was truly a culinary delight. Pair it with a glass of Sine Qua Non and relish in your own magical wonder!

Steak, fired over a wood grill, is the star; try the bone-in Cowgirl, a solid, juicy choice at 16 ounces, the filet mignon, also available bone-in, or any of the Butcher’s Reserve selections from Slagel Farms for bold flavor. Flaky wild Alaskan halibut is elegant and fork-tender. Maine lobster is also a fan fav. Shareable sides complement the decadence. And make sure to save room for dessert. The coconut cream pie is a work of art... a lengthy, skinny, fluffy slice of coconut custard with Chantilly rum. Maple & Ash will not disappoint!
