Sting's Penthouse Condo Sells for $50 Million

April 22, 2018

Grandeur and style covered every inch of Sting and Trudie Styler’s 3 bedroom penthouse condo in the highly coveted 15 Central Park West in Manhattan. The couple originally purchased their nearly 5,500 sq. ft. condo for a mere $27 million when the building first opened in 2008. In October they sold the unit for $50 million, nearly double what they originally paid for it.

On the bottom floor, the open living room features a distinctive, circular fireplace that mirrors the two custom, sculptural spiral staircases designed by Lee F. Midel.  The monochromatic white kitchen is every chef’s dream with two full size refrigerators, three Miele dishwashers, and a Wolf stovetop with four ovens.

Though the home’s finishes throughout feature light and airy neutrals, bright pops of color could be found through creative uses of fabrics and furnishings. The outside comes wiz indoors with a full wall of windows that open to 396 square feet of livable terrace space overlooking Central Park.

All three bedrooms and a multifunctional den can be found on the second story. The master suite features dual walk-in closets and dressing rooms and the same sprawling view of Central Park. With a view like this, even the bathrooms take advantage with a grand window over the built-in soaker tub. The dual spa bathrooms feature a luxury sauna experience.

15 Central Park West is the product of Robert A.M. Architects and Arthur and William Lie Zeckendorf of Zeckendorf Development. The development is essentially two limestone buildings – a 19-story tower on Central Park West joined by a lobby to a 35-story tower on Broadway. The building is known as one of the most expensive and prestigious buildings in Manhattan.
