This two-bedroom custom home in the gated community of Angelwylde is being sold fully furnished, with a range of high-end finishes that include de Gournay hand-painted gilt wall coverings, cashmere and silk drapery, and antique pieces from France, Italy and England.

“It’s very rare to find something built to this level of quality and also furnished to this level, even down to the wine glasses, if you want to go that far,” said listing agent Diane Humphreys, of Moreland Properties.

“It’s a very unique custom build…for this couple,” she said. “The two-bedroom floor plan definitely makes it a narrow buyer pool, but it would be perfect for an empty nester couple or a single person.”

The home was completed in 2020 by the owners, Ms. Humphreys said. “These are project people. They have already found another lot they are intrigued by and another architect they want to work with.”

The 5-acre property is “quite private, with beautiful views,” she said. “You’re really sleeping under the stars.”

The house is built on a slope, with everything on the main level except for an upper library and a rooftop deck over the guest suite, she said.

From the front, the house has a neoclassical look, but from the back “it is quite contemporary, and it blends seamlessly,” Ms. Humphreys said.

Austin-based D-Crain Design and Construction did the landscaping, which features extensive lawn areas, more than 200 mature trees and shrubs, a rose garden and an oval grove of crepe myrtles.

The Austin-based designer Fern Santini did all of the interiors, Ms. Humphreys said. “Fern is very well known locally, and she is very much in demand,” she said.

The living room features tall panes of glass and a floor-to-ceiling fireplace in rare Calacatta Lilac marble, according to the listing. The formal dining room has a Thomas Pheasant custom chandelier and open views out to the front yard.

The kitchen offers appliances from Miele and Sub-Zero, and there is also a butler’s pantry.

The primary bedroom suite features two offices that can be closed off with sliding doors, a mirrored exercise room, a walk-in closet with mirrored Italian cabinetry and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the pool and rose garden.

The owners are car collectors, Ms. Humphreys said, and the home has an upper-level two-car garage and a lower-level five-car garage.

The 5,827-square-foot house has two bedrooms, three full bathrooms and one partial bathroom. It sits on a 5.01-acre lot.

Amenities

Amenities include an edgeless pool, a 1,200-bottle wine room, a covered terrace with a grill area, a fire pit, a roof deck and two garages.

Neighborhood Notes

Angelwylde, which is between the Westlake Village area of Austin and the Galleria at Bee Caves, has just 17 homes on 150 acres.

“You have this sense of privacy and peacefulness, but you’re not that far from town,” Ms. Humphreys said. It’s about a 20-minute drive into downtown Austin, depending on the traffic.
